Once I've finished working I will concentrate on working on my novel, going to the gym and doing workouts when there is hardly anyone there [yay what bliss], riding my brand new mountain bike, reading all the books I've bought over the years and not got around to yet, taking more time with friends and family, doing some volunteer work - specifically teaching English to new immigrants and generally disengaging from the 8-5, 5 day a week rat race.
I've worked long enough and saved etc to get to this position in which I can comfortably leave a well paying job because I don't need any more money and my heart is just not in it anymore. Besides, if you aren't going to do a job properly, let someone else do it who needs the work more than you do.
I'll be getting a few more commissions done over the next couple of months and can't wait till they're ready.
Finally I'll be off to Europe in late August, traveling to Paris, Scotland, Athens, cruising the Aegean for 14 days ending up in Istanbul and then flying back to Paris for 4 more days before coming home. It'll be 6 weeks traveling all up and I'm looking forward to it since it's been 20 years since I was last in Europe.
I know I'm a lucky man. I live in a safe secure country that is blessed with natures gifts. I'm financially secure enough to quit a career at the age of 38 when most people are expected to work till their in their 60's and most of all, I'm going to pursue my dream of becoming a succesful fantasy novelist in the style of David Gemmel.
Life for me is beautiful
*edit* I just came across this and I believe their manifesto is correct so there for I support
